Discovery Academy of Science
Science Curriculum
Science at DAS North is built to ignite curiosity. Students learn by asking questions, conducting investigations, collecting evidence, and connecting science to technology, engineering, math, reading, and writing.
Inspire Science serves as a core resource and supports hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, and real-world phenomena.
Key Features
- Hands-on labs and investigations.
- STEM integration across subjects.
- Phenomena-based learning that encourages student questions.
- Scientific literacy so students can read, write, and speak about science confidently.
- Opportunities for robotics, science fair projects, Science Olympiad, SeaPerch, and other STEM competitions as programs are available.
What Students Build
As DAS North expands into the upper grades, students will have opportunities to engage in advanced STEM pathways and rigorous laboratory sciences. Depending on readiness and campus scheduling, this include accelerated tracks in Biology and Physical Science, providing a foundation for high-school level coursework and specialized participation in competitive programs like Science Olympiad and robotics.
